One person was taken to hospital following a crash in downtown Kitchener between an e-scooter and sedan. Waterloo Regional Police said it happened at the intersection of Charles Street West and Water Street around 10:45 a.m. on Tuesday. The woman riding the e-scooter, a 37-year-old from Kitchener, was transported to hospital. Police said her injuries were not life threatening. The driver of the Toyota Corolla, a 73-year-old man, was not hurt. The intersection was shut down for several hours while police investigated the circumstances surrounding the crash.
