Waterloo Regional Police have renewed their plea for information in a hit-and-run investigation. An eight-year-old was riding their bike on the grass near Parkvale Drive and Bianca Court in Kitchener on the afternoon of Aug. 19. Police said a Honda CR-V went off the road and struck the child. Their injuries were described as non-life-threatening. “The driver continued through the grass area, returned to the roadway, and failed to remain at the scene of the collision,” police wrote in a media release on Aug. 24. They also shared photos of a similar vehicle and the driver. On Wednesday, police reposted those images on social media. “Looking to identify the driver and vehicle involved in a hit and run incident involving an eight-year-old child in Kitchener,” the post said. Anyone with information, or video of the incident, is asked to contact police at 519-570-9777, extension 4499.
