Waterloo Regional Police released a photo of a person they’re hoping to identify in connection to a fire at a Kitchener apartment building. The fire happened during the early morning of Feb. 13. Police believe it started in the parking garage of a building in the York Street and Union Boulevard area. Several vehicles and parts of the building’s structure were significantly damaged. All residents who were living in the building have been displaced from their homes while safety inspections are conducted. Police called the fire suspicious and said they believed it was intentionally set. Anyone with relevant information about the fire or the person in the photo is being asked to contact Waterloo Police or Crime Stoppers.
