A new charge has been laid after another person involved in a Wilmot Township crash has died. The collision happened around 4:55 p.m. on Aug. 1 at the intersection of Bridge Street and Diamond Road. The driver of a Toyota, a 70-year-old woman from Wilmot Township, died at the crash site. The driver of the other vehicle and two passengers in his vehicle were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. A third passenger in that vehicle was also taken to an out-of-region hospital with life-threatening injuries. On Sept. 26, a 27-year-old passenger from Cambridge also died due to the injuries they suffered in the collision. A 24-year-old Kitchener man is facing a new charge of dangerous operation causing death. He was previously charged on a separate count of dangerous operation causing death and three counts of dangerous operation causing bodily harm.
