The business, which has operated since 1980, is described in the listing as a well-established pub known for live music, food service and a wide selection of beverages. “After nearly 46 years of working here and owning it for 21 of those years, it is time for me to slow down and take it easy,” owner Desi Fatkin said in an email statement to CTV News on Sunday. “The decision to sell has not been an easy one. Since I started working at the old location at the age of 18, however, I am dealing with some health conditions that don’t allow me to do many of the things I used to be able to do, like lifting kegs, etc. It will be bittersweet, but my husband and I are hoping to find someone who is interested in the history of the business, and while they may make some changes, hopefully it will remain an authentic British Pub.” The listing highlights the pub’s long-standing presence in the community and positions the sale as an opportunity for a new owner to continue its operations.
