Two people have been taken to an out-of-region hospital following a crash between a black Honda Civic and a Yamaha motorcycle in Kitchener, police say. The Waterloo Regional Police Service posted an update to social media at 4 p.m. Saturday informing residents that King Street East was closed between Fairway Road and Morrison Road for a collision. “Through investigation, police determined that a Yamaha motorcycle rear-ended a stopped black Honda motor vehicle,” police said in a media release. The motorcycle driver, a 32-year-old man from Kitchener, and a passenger, a 36-year-old woman, were both taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Honda, a 32-year-old man from Kitchener, was not hurt. King Street East was closed for several hours for a police investigation. Police said charges are anticipated.
