A 19-year-old driver is facing charges, including operating a vehicle with defective brakes, after he hit a school fence in Cambridge. Waterloo Regional Police Service officers were called to a single-vehicle collision on Westminster Drive South on Tuesday around 2 p.m. They said the driver had hit a fence. One person was taken to hospital with minor injuries, but police said they were not hurt in the collision. A 19-year-old Cambridge man was charged with careless driving, driving without insurance, driving with defective brakes and failure to surrender a driver’s licence.
