Civic Holiday: What’s open and closed in Waterloo, Kitchener, Cambridge, Guelph and Brantford

Many stores and businesses will be open on Monday for the Civic Holiday.

Here’s everything you need to know before you leave home.

Note that fireworks are not permitted, in any city or community, over the long weekend.

General

Open

• Most grocery stores, restaurants, movie theatres
• Select pharmacies
• Select LCBO, Beer Store and Wine Rack locations
• Conestoga Mall - 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Fairview Park Mall - 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Cambridge Centre - 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Stone Road Mall - 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Lynden Park Mall – 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Closed

• Banks and financial institutions
• Government offices
• No Canada Post mail delivery

Waterloo Region

• Grand River Transit: Operating on a holiday service schedule.
• No curbside collection.

Open

• Region of Waterloo International Airport
• Ken Seiling Waterloo Region Museum and Schneider Haus (11 a.m. to 4 p.m.)
• McDougall Cottage Historic Site (12 p.m. to 5 p.m.)
• Cooling space at 150 Main Street in Cambridge (8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.)

Closed

• Waste transfer stations in Cambridge and Waterloo closed for residential drop-offs.

Kitchener
