Waterloo Regional Police are investigating after they said a woman was sexually assaulted in her Cambridge home overnight. Police said the woman awoke around 4:15 a.m. to an unknown man inside her residence in the area of King Street East and Lowther Street. The suspect allegedly sexually assaulted the woman before fleeing the area prior to police arrival. He is described as white, 30 to 35 years old, with an average build and a “scruffy appearance.” He was wearing a black hoodie, black track pants, black running shoes, fingerless gloves and a black baseball hat. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
