The Waterloo Regional Police Service are investigating a break-in that happened at a Cambridge home. Police received reports of a break-in on Stonebrook Drive Friday around 4 p.m. The suspects gained entry from a back entrance and stole various personal belongings. “As part of the investigation, officers are asking residents and motorists who may have dash camera, residential security camera, or other video footage to review their recordings and provide any relevant footage,” police said in a media statement. “Investigators are specifically seeking footage from the areas of Stonebrook Drive between 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. on October 30, 2026.” Police said the break-in aligns with a growing regional trend with break-ins at homes that back onto greenspaces, trails, parks, and wooded areas, with residents being urged to remain vigilant and consider additional home security measures. To help reduce the risk of becoming a victim, Waterloo Regional Police recommend: The investigation is ongoing.
