Ontario Provincial Police say an aircraft flipped over at Guelph Airpark on Skyway Drive Friday. Police posted on social media about the incident before 1:30 p.m. Around 3 p.m., OPP were on scene and a small aircraft could be seen in the distance. OPP said the plane flipped while landing. A single occupant was said to have exited the aircraft by the time police arrived. No injuries have been reported. The Transportation Safety Board (TSB) told CTV News they were notified of the incident. “At this stage, we are gathering information and assessing the circumstances to determine whether a full investigation will be launched,” a spokesperson for the TSB said in an email to CTV News. This comes less than a month after a pilot was taken to hospital after a plane flipped over on the runway at Guelph Airpark. In that incident, investigators said early indications suggested the plane flipped over as the pilot of a small plane was landing. The pilot was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
