A former McDonald’s in downtown Kitchener is on the market for $5.2 million. With its red and white facade, the building at 600 King Street West may feel like a nostalgic blast from the past for many. McDonald’s Canada has confirmed they still own the property and it is up for sale. The location closed in October 2015 due to nearby construction. According to the listing, the 0.57-acred site has been on the market for 23 days. It is being touted as a transit-oriented, high density re-development opportunity within Kitchener’s innovation district. The site is across from the Google building and is zoned for mixed-use development up to 28-storeys.
