The IOC responded Wednesday to Premier Gordon Campbell's suggestion that the IOC was reconsidering its decision to keep women out.

In an email to CTV News, an IOC spokesperson says their position has not changed.

"The IOC's position on this matter has not changed. We will continue to closely follow the development of Women's Ski Jumping with a view to its possible inclusion in future Olympic Games," the statement said.

The rules do not allow women ski jumpers to compete at the 2010 games, because, the IOC says, their sport isn't developed enough.

One VANOC board member has called it "unjust," while the jumpers say it's gender discrimination.

But VANOC Board of Director Jacques Gauthier was emphatic that they could not change the IOC's decision.

"It's not our decision. We're an organizing committee," he said. "So we have to organize the games with the rules put in place by the international Olympics committee."
