GATINEAU, Que. - High winds and heavy rain have led to major flooding in Quebec's Gatineau region.

Officials say about 180 millimetres of rain have fallen over the past few days.

Gatineau Mayor Marc Bureau says the rain filled basements, washed out roads, and caused sewers to overflow.

Officials issued an evacuation order for about 600 homes early Saturday, including a trailer park.

That order has been lifted, but more rain was in the forecast for late Saturday.

Bureau says he may need the Quebec government to help with the cleanup.
