Dollarama is recalling several wooden puzzles that pose a choking hazard to young children.

The recall includes the "Wooden Easy-Grab Puzzles" that depict farm animals, garden animals, ocean animals and jungle animals. All of the puzzles have three pieces that have small wooden knobs attached.

The recalled puzzles have the item number #08-3032698 and UPC code 6 67888 17495 9.

The wooden knobs on the puzzle pieces may separate, posing a hazard for young children. Any puzzle pieces that have a metallic peg on the underside are not included in this recall.

The Healthy Canadians website issued the recall alert on Tuesday. 

The recall covers approximately 23,952 puzzles sold in Canada from June 2015 to January 2016, the alert said.

Customers who bought the recalled puzzles should take them away from their children. and take them to the store to obtain a refund, the alert said. No receipt is required to obtain a refund.

Dollarama has received one report of a knob detaching from a puzzle piece, with no reported injuries, according to the alert. Health Canada has not received any reports of consumer injuries related to the product.
