Nestle infant nutrition product recall affects 25 markets so far, company says

Zurich, Switzerland — Editor’s note: In a statement to CTVNews.ca, a spokesperson from Nestle said, “We are conducting a precautionary recall/withdrawal of specific infant nutrition products sold in a number of countries, but it does not impact Canada.”

LONDON, United Kingdom -- Nestle recall notices for some ⁠batches of infant ‍nutrition products have been issued in 23 European countries, Turkiye and Argentina so ​far, it said on Tuesday, adding that it was ⁠ramping up production at several factories.

The company said late on ⁠Monday that ‌it was recalling ‌some batches of products including SMA, BEBA ⁠and NAN infant and follow-on formulas because of potential contamination with ‌a toxin ‍that could cause nausea and vomiting.
