Zurich, Switzerland — Editor’s note: In a statement to CTVNews.ca, a spokesperson from Nestle said, “We are conducting a precautionary recall/withdrawal of specific infant nutrition products sold in a number of countries, but it does not impact Canada.” LONDON, United Kingdom -- Nestle recall notices for some batches of infant nutrition products have been issued in 23 European countries, Turkiye and Argentina so far, it said on Tuesday, adding that it was ramping up production at several factories. The company said late on Monday that it was recalling some batches of products including SMA, BEBA and NAN infant and follow-on formulas because of potential contamination with a toxin that could cause nausea and vomiting.
