BARTOW, Florida - The father of a 16-year-old Florida girl -- allegedly beaten unconscious by six other girls who planned to post the video on the Internet -- is blaming it on society.
Patrick Lindsay tells the CBS "Early Show'' that Americans who glamourize violence are "destroying our kids' minds and their hearts.''
Officials say two boys served as lookouts while the girls attacked Victoria Lindsay at a friend's house.
The Polk County sheriff says some parents have shown remorse for the beating, but the teenagers haven't.
The victim's mother says the girl is being home-schooled for now, saying it would be "too much of a humiliation'' for her to go back to class.
