OTTAWA - A funeral service for an Ottawa-based Mountie who was killed in the January 12th earthquake in Haiti will be held Wednesday.

The body of RCMP Chief Superintendent Doug Coates was found in the rubble of the United Nations headquarters in Port-au-Prince. The public is invited to attend the funeral at 1 p.m. ET at Notre Dame Cathedral Basilica on Sussex Dr.

The body of the second Mountie killed in the quake -- Sgt. Mark Gallagher -- arrived in his home province of New Brunswick on Monday.

A lone piper played as eight RCMP officers in red serge carried the casket from an airplane to a waiting hearse during an arrival ceremony in Moncton.

Gallagher's funeral will be held Thursday in Woodstock, N.B.
