Above is an interview with retired U.S. Sgt. First Class Layne Morris, who is suing Omar Khadr.
Below is a statement to Canada AM by Omar Khadr's lawyer Dennis Edney:
"Mr. Morris is relying upon a plea deal including a stipulation of facts which Khadr had to agree to in order to get out of Guantanamo Bay, away from the torturers, the abusers and a tainted trial."
Edney also responded to the suggestion that the Canadian Government may settle its own lawsuit with Omar Khadr saying "There is no indication of settlement."
