VANCOUVER - Premier Gordon Campbell says if his Liberal party is re-elected when British Columbians go to the polls next month, he'll work with Ottawa to extend employment insurance benefits.

Campbell says the election platform released on Day Two of the campaign lays out what he calls pillars to keep B.C. strong.

Students, workers and seniors are the focus of the platform.

Campbell promises reduced transit fares for all post secondary students starting in September 2010 and says he'll double the provincial training tax credit to $4,000 for employers.

Seniors will get special community parks and cycling paths.

Campbell is seeking a third term when British Columbians go to the polls May 12.
