Police say a truck crashed into an LRT train Wednesday morning in southeast Edmonton. Officers were called to the area of 83 Street and 69A Avenue at 11 a.m. where it was reported that a truck crashed into the train that was travelling southbound on 83 Street. The man driving the truck was taken to hospital by EMS with non-life-threatening injuries. The crash halted train service for about an hour, which was replaced by bus services between Davies Station and Bonnie Doon as trains could not navigate around the crash site.
