The court process for an Edmonton teacher facing child sexual abuse materials charges is underway. Jimmy Buena, 48, was charged with accessing, possessing, and transmitting child sexual abuse materials last June. The Alberta Law Enforcement Response Team (ALERT) that had investigated Buena believed the former Oscar Romero Catholic High School teacher had left Canada. A year later, Buena is back in Canada and his court case is underway. ALERT confirms he was arrested at the Edmonton International Airport on April 15. He made court appearances on May 14 and June 4. His lawyer is now awaiting disclosure.
