A man is in custody after an incident Saturday in which a stolen trackhoe was used to damage a number of police vehicles parked in the Bonnyville RCMP lot. At around 6:55 p.m., a man drove the stolen trackhoe into the lot, where he dumped a number of boulders in front of the prisoner bay, before proceeding to damage five vehicles, RCMP said. He then fled on foot. Bonnyville RCMP, Police Dog Services and RPAS (drone) were used to search for the suspect. He was located in a tree line north west of the detachment. He was arrested and is currently in custody pending a bail hearing.
