The hot spell continues as temperatures get to around 30 C again this afternoon. There’s a brief cool down coming on Sunday with a high around 22/23 C. But, the rest of the next 10-14 days should hit afternoon highs in the 25 to 30 C range. The storm risk continues for the next few days as well. Thunderstorms (possibly severe) will develop in the foothills this afternoon. There’s a slight chance those storms move towards the Edmonton region this evening. But, they’ll probably still be back in the west at 8-10 p.m. So, the main threat for Edmonton and surrounding areas will be overnight or in the wee hours of Saturday morning. Saturday’s storms should start to get going a bit earlier. So, it’s more of a late afternoon/early evening storm threat for the Edmonton area Saturday.
