An Edmonton man won $1 million on a lottery draw last month. Michael Monaghan won one of the max millions prizes available on the May 8 Lotto Max draw with the numbers 3, 6, 16, 26, 30, 32, and 51. He says his family is just as excited about the news as he is. “The first thing I did was call my partner to tell her,” he said. “I took a screenshot of the ticket to show her and to show my son… who promptly asked for a dirt bike.” He says he also plans to use the money to take care of some family debt. “I’m going to pay off my late mother’s condo,” he said. “It is going to feel good to have that taken care of.” Monaghan bought his winning ticket from the Shell station at 13215 127 St.
