Police are looking for five people after a jewelry store in Bonnie Doon Shopping Centre was robbed last month. On April 27, four people wearing black clothing and black balaclava masks and gloves ran into the jewelry store at the mall and yelled at staff to get down. The thieves began smashing glass jewelry cases and taking products from inside before running back to a black Hyundai Santa Fe SUV where a fifth person was waiting and drove off. The vehicle is described as a 2010-2012 model with Saskatchewan license plate 187 NYN. The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) says the entire robbery only took about a minute. A woman working at the store was treated for non-life-threatening injuries from the broken glass. No other physical injuries were reported. Police are hoping to talk to a man who was shopping in the store when the robbery happened. Anyone with information about the robbery or the thieves is asked to contact EPS at 780-423-4567 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
