Police investigate sudden death of infant in northeast Edmonton

Police are investigating the sudden death of an infant at a home in northeast Edmonton on Friday morning.

Around 11:30 a.m., police were called to the home for an unresponsive male infant. EMS performed life-saving measures and took him to hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

No arrests have been made in relation to the death. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.

Edmonton police say no other information is available at the moment and they continue to investigate.
