A memorial was held for Nadine Robinson on Sunday, marking the 20th anniversary of her killing, which remains unsolved. Nadine was found dead in her home in the area of 32 Street and 139 Avenue on July 20, 2006. She was 36-years-old at the time of her death. Nadine’s son Stephen said he was lucky to have been raised by her. “She was very caring, very loving, very patient,” said Stephen, who was 14 years old when his mother died. “Her natural willingness to care for people was just a great quality that I think lives on through me, lives on through all of us.” Nadine became a Licensed Practical Nurse in 1999 and enjoyed working with people living with dementia. “It is pretty comforting to know that she’s not forgotten. To know that people still support, still want to get justice for her,” said Stephen. For two decades, the Robinson family has been searching for answers. They’re hoping to generate more attention to the case in hopes of getting new information about Nadine’s killing. “I know that Edmonton police have been trying,” said Stephen. “As far as what more can be done, I think just trying to target the right people who may have seen something … We’re just taking everything we can.” Anyone with information about Nadine’s death is encouraged to contact Edmonton police at 780-423-4567.
