Edmonton’s new mayor and council will be sworn in at City Hall on Wednesday. Mayor-elect Andrew Knack and 12 councillors will take their oaths at 1:30 p.m. The City of Edmonton says the ceremony will also include a formal program and performances. Chief Justice of Alberta Ritu Khullar will preside over the oaths. The new council will hold a brief inaugural meeting after the ceremony. The election’s results were officially released last Friday.
