The musical lineup that will accompany the culinary offerings at Taste of Edmonton in July has been released. Vancouver-based rock band Econoline Crush and Saskatchewan country artist Brayden King will open the festival on July 16 and 17, respectively. The festival’s other two headliners, singer-songwriter Tyler Shaw and 54-40, will take the stage on July 23 and July 25, respectively. Other musical acts include the Mbira Renaissance Band with the Real Sickies, Stone in Love, and Whale and the Wolf. “Community is at the heart of everything we do, and this year, 83 per cent of our performance lineup is artists from Edmonton and surrounding areas. Taste will always be about more than food. It’s about creating opportunities for local talent to shine while bringing people together through shared experiences,” said event manager Donovan Vienneau in a press release. This year’s event will consist of 49 food and drink booths, and three food trucks, plus a market featuring local makers and sellers. Tickets remain on pre-sale until July 14.
