A Leduc business is putting its own spin on the classic haunted house to gather more than 450 kilograms, or 1,000 pounds, of food for the local food bank. No Bull RV has created a haunted fifth-wheel trailer out of a trade-in that arrived in scary condition. “It turned into a little bit of a project that the staff enjoyed. They started ripping things out of it and painting the outside and inside, and making it into something that’s turned into a benefit to the community,” recalled owner Rick Showers in an interview on Monday, the first day the haunted trailer was open to the public. The trailer has been painted black, covered in cobwebs, and bears a sign reading, “Enter if you dare.” The interior reveals a story about the horror portrayed. “The kids love it and it’s fun. Grandparents bring the grandkids out for something to do,” Showers said. The haunted trailer is open to the public starting Monday until Nov. 1. It is free to check out, although guests are encouraged to bring a donation for the Leduc and District Food Bank. Last year, visitors donated about 130 kilograms of food. “Last year was the first year and it went really good,” Showers said. “So (we) wanted to double and triple it.” With files from CTV News Edmonton’s Darcy Seaton
