A trade show on Edmonton’s south side Friday is showcasing Indigenous small businesses. About 80 Indigenous entrepreneurs, business owners and support organizations from across Alberta gathered at the Wyndham Edmonton Hotel and Conference Centre to display their products and services. The 2026 Indigenous Business Trade Show is being held during Small Business Week, a national initiative involving chambers of commerce, the Business Development Bank of Canada and other organizations. The week highlights entrepreneurship through conferences, workshops, luncheons and trade shows. Robyn Houle, community engagement coordinator with trade show organizer Apeetogosan (Métis) Development, said one goal of the event is to raise awareness of Indigenous businesses and connect them with more customers. “We want the public to see exactly what our indigenous entrepreneurs can do,” Houle told CTV News Edmonton on Friday. “We want them to see the services that they provide, the products that they make.” The Indigenous Business Trade Show runs until 7 p.m. Friday at the Wyndham Edmonton Hotel and Conference Centre, 4440 Gateway Blvd. N.W.
