We’re not just talking household or yard waste, but some Edmontonians are looking to get rid of bigger, bulkier items like furniture and appliances. But where can people dispose of it? Which items are accepted? And how much does it cost to even dispose of your waste? Here’s what you can expect: Edmonton Waste Management Centre Accepted Items and Fees The Edmonton Waste Management Centre accepts waste from both residents and non-residents. The disposal fee is determined by the weight of your load and the type of waste you’re dropping off, according to the city’s website. 2026 Big Bin Events The City of Edmonton began hosting its Big Bin Events in May and will continue throughout summer and fall, where residents can bring those large items for free disposal.
