Police say they have a person in custody following a heavy police presence in the area of 95 Street and Jasper Avenue Monday afternoon. An emailed statement from the Edmonton Police Service (EPS) said officers were responding to a disturbance in a suite of a high rise building in the area and were negotiating with a person inside. EPS closed 95 Street between 102A Avenue and Jasper Avenue for several hours while it responded to the disturbance. As of 9 p.m., the incident was over. EPS did not provide any additional details.
