Heavy police presence in downtown Edmonton as EPS respond to disturbance

A heavy police presence was seen in the area of 95 Street and Jasper Avenue Monday afternoon.

An emailed statement from the Edmonton Police Service (EPS) said officers are responding to a disturbance in a suite of a high rise building in the area and are negotiating with a subject inside.

EPS has closed 95 Street between 102A Avenue and Jasper Avenue while they respond to the disturbance.
