A church deacon has been charged in connection with a reported sexual assault in November. Frezghi Zerezghi, 48, was arrested on Dec. 12 and charged with sexual assault and sexual interference. He has since been released on an undertaking. The Edmonton Police Service says at the time of the incident, Zerezghi was a deacon at a church near 121 Avenue and 103 Street. Police believe there may be additional victims and are asking anyone with information about Zerezghi to contact them at 780-423-4567 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
