Edmonton Comics and Entertainment Expo wraps up with the reunion of four original hobbits

Actors Dom Monaghan, Billy Boyd, Sean Astin and Elijah Wood were decked out in customized Oilers jerseys to close out the Edmonton Fan Expo on Sunday.

Frodo, Samwise, Pippin and Merry were far from the Shire Sunday evening.

Actors Elijah Wood, Sean Astin, Billy Boyd and Dominic Monaghan – the original hobbits of the Lord of the Rings trilogy – closed the weekend with a panel discussion at the Edmonton EXPO Centre.

The four entered the stage donning Oilers jerseys with their character names on the back. The actors signed the jerseys which were donated to the Edmonton Oilers Foundation for charity auction.

The expo ran from Sept. 19 to 21 and hosted other movie stars including Christopher Lloyd of Back to the Future and Robert Patrick of Terminator 2 and The X-Files amongst others.
