A person driving triple the speed limit in Edmonton earlier this month was arrested and fined $600. The driver of a Mercedes-Benz was clocked driving at 181 km/h in a 60 km/h zone, southbound on 142 Street from 167 Avenue, at around 8 p.m. on Feb. 15. The driver was arrested for dangerous operation of a vehicle and they have a mandatory court date in addition to the fine.
