Construction is returning to Jasper Avenue next week. Phase 2 of the Imagine Jasper Avenue project starts April 7. Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction between 117 Street and 121 Street. Work will be done on the north side of the avenue first, then move to the south later in the season. No on-street parking in this area will be allowed for the duration of construction. Pedestrian, business and emergency access will be maintained at all times, the city says. Crews will be removing and rebuilding the roadway and wider sidewalks; installing new storm sewers, traffic signals and street lighting; and upgrading landscaping, street furniture and pedestrian lighting.
