Edmonton had it’s first hotter-than-average day in June on Sunday as the temperature hit 26 C. We’ll get one more day in the mid 20s today and then it’s back to the cooler, cloudier and occasionally showery conditions we’ve had for much of the month. The upper ridge responsible for the sunshine and the warmth is collapsing and we’ll see a broad upper trough develop for much of this week. Much like last week, it’s not going to be four or five days of non-stop rain. But, each day will have a chance of some showers. Nailing down the exact timing is going to be tough, but here’s roughly how it looks like it’ll play out: Obviously, there’s less confidence in that timeline further out. But, that’s roughly how it’s shaping up. Temperatures will settle back into the mid to high teens for daytime highs Tuesday-Thursday. We’ll get to 20 C or the lows 20s on Friday in Edmonton and then right back to the mid to high teens for the weekend.
