Five teens were taken to hospital after a multi-vehicle crash in north Edmonton on Tuesday morning. The crash happened around 9 a.m. at 132 Avenue and 86 Street. According to the Edmonton Police Service, a Dodge Ram pickup was travelling northbound on 86 Street when it turned onto 132 Avenue without stopping, hitting a Honda CRV that was driving eastbound on 132 Avenue. The Honda then hit a westbound Nissan Rogue, and two other parked vehicles were also struck. Police say the truck, described as an early 2010s black Dodge Ram with front end damage, left the scene heading westbound on 132 Avenue. Four teens in the Honda were taken to hospital, one with serious injuries and the others with minor injuries. A woman and a teen in the Nissan were also taken to hospital with minor injuries. According to a letter sent home to parents, the teens were students at Archbishop O’Leary Catholic High School. The board says support will be offered to O’Leary students who witnessed the crash.
