Two people were seriously injured in a crash west of Edmonton on Wednesday. Police were called to a crash between a gravel truck and a Honda Civic at the intersection of Highway 627 and Range Road 10 in Parkland County just after 2 p.m. The two people in the car were hospitalized. The driver, a 29-year-old man from Edmonton, was taken to hospital in serious but stable condition. His passenger, a 19-year-old woman from Edmonton, was airlifted to hospital in critical condition. The driver of the truck, a 42-year-old man from Sherwood Park, was assessed on scene. The crash is under investigation.
