One person is dead after a truck hit a pedestrian in a marked crosswalk Friday night. At 7:08 p.m., a 21-year-old woman was crossing Hewes Way westbound in the marked crosswalk at 23 Avenue on a green light. She was hit by a 48-year-old man driving a 2010 Dodge Ram 2500, who was turning left onto Hewes Way from eastbound 23 Avenue. The woman was declared dead by responding paramedics. Police said neither speed nor impairment are believed to be factors.
