Ricki Lake topped the score board on 'Dancing with the Stars' Monday night.

The talk show host and her partner Derek Hough gained 27 points for their romantic rumba, with judges Len Goodman, Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba all awarding them nine out of a maximum of 10 points.

Each of the stars had to pick a dance that characterised the most memorable year in their lives, with Ricki choosing 2010, the year she met partner Christian Evans.

Praising her performance, Bruno said: "That was the actress-dancer at her best."

Transgender activist Chaz Bono - the son of singer Cher - came bottom of the score board, gaining just 18 points, with Len Goodman and Carrie Ann disagreeing on his rumba with partner Lacey Schwimmer.

While Len proclaimed it to be the "best dance" he had seen from him, Carrie Ann said: "I'm so impressed by your real courage. It wasn't your best performance. You just didn't dance enough."

Four celebrities earned 24 points for their performances, including David Arquette, Kristin Cavallari, Hope Solo and Rob Kardashian - whose sister Kim and mother Kris were in the audience to cheer him on.

Praising his performance with partner Cheryl Burke, Len joked: "You put the dash into Kardashian!"
