Canadian named Playboy's Playmate of 2008

LOS ANGELES - Another Canadian is entering the ranks of Playboy playmates of the year.

Jayde Nicole of Port Perry, Ontario has the title for 2008.

The 22-year-old brunette gets a ten-page nude pictorial in Playboy's June issue, and her own special on Playboy's TV channel.

Along with her title, she also gets 100-thousand dollars in prize money and a 2008 Cadillac CTS.

She is Canada's first Playmate of the Year since 1982 when Shannon Tweed was honored with the title.

Nicole is a local celebrity in her home town of Port Perry, in southern Ontario.

But before Playboy spotted her in 2007 she was the owner of a modeling agency called Jayde Nicole Incorporated that she founded in 2005.

She then became Miss January 2007.
