The Royal Canadian Mint will be releasing seven Superman collector coins to celebrate the Man of Steel's 75th anniversary.

Each coin will feature highlights from the long history of Superman and have a special engraved message in Superman's own Kryptonian language.

The first coin is cast in 14-karat gold and will cost collectors $750 and will depict the first time Superman jumped into action in 1938.

The image will show the iconic scene of Superman flying high above Metropolis with the fortress of solitude in the background, drawn by Canadian co-creator Joe Shuster.

The other six coins range in price from $129.75 to $29.75 and include a state-of-the-art hologram of Superman flying and a nearly pure silver coin showing Superman in his most recent uniform.

The official unveiling will happen on Sept. 9 in Toronto.
