A Mississauga man has been charged with two counts of mischief after making concerning comments on board an Air Canada flight Friday morning.

The London-bound flight was grounded Friday morning after a "customer became concerned by the comments of a second customer and alerted the crew," an Air Canada spokesperson told CTV Toronto.

Security and police were called and a 22-year-old man was subsequently arrested. His baggage was also removed from the Boeing 767 plane after the incident, which took place just after 9 a.m.

A second man also voluntarily left the plane after he became nervous about what was transpiring. He later returned to the aircraft.

Police have not said what the suspect said on board the plane.

"I can’t speak to the comments that were made simply because that’s evidence," Sgt. Thomas Ruttan told CTV Toronto Friday. "But I can tell you that the crew felt that they were concerning enough to call police."

Air Canada and other security officials interviewed the crew and passengers and cleared the flight for takeoff. It departed around 11:30 a.m. ET.

In a tweet sent by a Peel Regional Police spokesperson Friday afternoon, investigators say Sohill Agha has been scheduled to make a court appearance on Oct. 27.
