HALIFAX -- The list of most popular baby names in Nova Scotia has been released.

Topping the list for boys in 2012 was Jacob, with 64 infants receiving that name among the 8,060 babies born last year in the province.

The most popular girl's name was Olivia -- 58 girls were given that name.
