An Edmonton school bus driver has been fired after being caught on camera making dangerous manoeuvres while driving through city streets with children on board.

The video, captured on a dashboard camera Tuesday, first shows the school bus making a left-hand turn and cutting off another vehicle that had the right of way.

Moments later, after pulling away from a bus stop, the driver is seen cutting off another car, almost causing a collision while merging back into traffic.

Later, the bus is seen passing on the left a bus and a car waiting to make a left-hand turn. “That’s insane,” a woman is heard saying on the video. “That’s like three accidents she almost caused.”

The man who shot the video believes he captured a road rage incident on camera.

“With or without kids on the bus, you don’t do that,” said the man, who asked that his identity not be revealed. “But because there were kids on the bus, that just brought it way over the top.”

A spokesperson for school bus company Golden Arrow told CTV News that the employee in question has been terminated. The company says they plan to use the video for training purposes in the future. They are also considering installing cameras on their buses.
