SASKATOON -- A crane used by a company called Innovative Residential has fallen in Saskatoon's west end after what workers call a freak accident.

The large white and black crane was laying on its side Thursday on Molland Lane.

The crane was being used for building a development called Hartford Crossing. Innovative Residential is building two-and-three bedroom townhouses at the site.

Workers on site say weather was not a factor.

No one was hurt in the incident.

Workers say it couldn't have happened in a better spot -- away from machinery and building materials.
