CALGARY - Calgary police say the death of a four-year-old girl last month has been ruled a homicide.

Emergency crews responded to a call about a child in medical distress at an east-end home on Dec. 19.

Police say Olive Rebekah Oluwafemi wasn't breathing and was in cardiac arrest.

She was pronounced dead a short time later in hospital.

Investigators aren't releasing the cause of death, but say the girl suffered fatal injuries that were inflicted at the family home.

They say her parents have been interviewed and the investigation is continuing.
